Heartland supports working farms and ranches that need capital to improve production, resilience or diversification — without taking on additional debt.
The grant is designed for projects with a clear operational outcome, a realistic budget and the documentation to show the investment can be completed and maintained.
Funding Details
Capital grants from $50,000 to $150,000 covering equipment, irrigation, storage, processing and conservation costs.
Cost-share of at least 20% of total project cost is expected from the applicant or another confirmed source.
Eligibility
Operating farms, ranches or agricultural businesses based in the United States with a defined project and supplier quotes.
Applicants must demonstrate control of the land or operation and be able to meet reporting, inspection and cost-share conditions.
